TBI RESEARCH and GENEROUS DONATIONS

Just a (relatively) brief update. What difficult times! Obviously we haven't been able to fund raise this year, but past generosity from our supporters means we are still able to support our chosen causes going forward and hopefully before too long we can top up our funds!

We would like to thank supporters for their generosity around Rhiannon's birthday. We received some substantial donations which were very gratefully received, especially at a time when we have been unable to organise any events. I know I have said it before, but I cannot stress how much your kindness means. It is such a comfort to have that support and to know that we can try to make a better world with it.

We have been in contact with Malik Zaben who is the Neurosurgeon carrying out Traumatic Brain Injury Research at Cardiff University. We help support his research and he tells us that he has used some of lockdown to finish some important papers on TBI research ready for submission. He is back to work now and going through the discomforts of full PPE as are so many of his colleagues as we know. He sent us a picture to demonstrate just how much kit they are having to wear in these unprecedented times. I know many have seen on the media the amount of protective wear our healthcare workers are having to put up with, but especially during the hot spells we have had, it really must be so very uncomfortable. We are very grateful to him for the work he is doing each day and especially for the research into finding better outcomes for victims of TBI.
