Rhiannon
Rhiannon was a beautiful, bubbly 21 year old with a great passion for children and teaching. She had tried many things in her life – including dancing (disco, modern, ballet when she was younger and more lately ballroom), karate, drumming, horse riding and pilates. She loved to travel, to read, cook, the cinema, theatre, ballet and eating out. She was a sun worshipper and loved going abroad on holiday. She was open to exploring everything life had to offer. She was full of life and looking forward to a different turn in a new career and starting up a home of her own. She achieved so much having completed her A levels, sociology degree and during the PGCE teaching course she was completing at Gloucester Uni. She was a compassionate young lady, always thoughtful and caring about others. She loved children and was looking forward to a career where she could guide and encourage them. She had completed several projects at her placement schools, one of which was a reading corner. She spent hours making bunting out of book covers which she had printed off and laminated, a signpost enquiring ‘where will your reading take you?’ and arrows to Never Never Land, Oz, Hogwarts and similar. She had a brilliant imagination and was full of inspiring ideas. She had recently told her family that she was having the time of her life, and was looking forward to the summer, to holidays and to her chosen career. She had never been more settled and contented about who she was and where she was going. She would be very proud to know that money was being raised in her name to support our three causes. It gives us comfort too to think that we might be able to put something into education, her passion, on her behalf.
